Stanley Watson Whitting Barber
(1900 - 1959)
Stanley Barber was born to parents John and Alice Barber in Bridgwater, Somerset. The GRO indexes identify that his birth was registered in December quarter 1900 (ref 5c 321). The Watson Whitting names were taken from soldiers his father had served with.
At the time of the 1901 census, Stanley was recorded as six months old and living at 75 Friarn Street, Bridgwater with his mother, sister and three brothers.
Stanley was the sixth born in what became a large family, he had the following brothers and sisters.

It is believed that Leonard and Leslie and Eva died as babies.
Stanley's sister Glad recalled that Stanley was in the army and married a woman who was 40!
Stanley was buried in Grave 20 , Section A of Quantock Rd Cemetery, Bridgwater; the same grave as his father. The plot had originaly been purchased as a double depth grave by his mother, Alice Barber.
